Woman With Child in Car Rams People And Police Cars To Avoid Arrest

A woman has been arrested in Georgia for leaving a trail of devastation with her Inifniti SUV while trying to avoid arrest.

Police were initially alerted to the woman’s reckless driving by a member of the public who claimed her Infiniti QX56 was veering into the opposing lane on the approach to Byron, almost hitting oncoming traffic. And by the time police caught up with her at a highway intersection her vehicle had been blocked in by members of the public.

But the woman, later identified as 24-year old Sierra Hibbert of Warner Robbins, GA, refused to acknowledge officers, and after a stand-off lasting several minutes, backed her car into a vehicle behind, then escaped by driving forward, hitting a police car, a police officer and two witnesses in the process.

Worryingly, the woman had a small child in the back of her SUV, but officers had placed spiked Stop Sticks underneath the wheels, so while she had escaped, they knew she wasn’t going to get far. Unfortunately for the City of Byron Police Department’s annual budget and whoever owns the SUV she was driving, she still had plenty of time to make an even bigger mess of their Ford patrol cars and her Infiniti before she was finally apprehended.

For a moment it looks like the police have boxed her in further down the road, but in a flurry of tire smoke, she manages to clumsily squeeze past a patrol car trying to block her path, though appears to cause some serious suspension damage to the QX in the process, leaving the driver’s side front wheel hooked over to the left. The chase concludes soon afterward, with police finally pulling the heavy-set woman out of the car.

“I didn’t do it, I didn’t do anything, sir!” we hear the woman exclaim, but the police have their own opinion on that.

“You just tried to kill 10 people,” one officer replies.

Police later issued a statement thanking members of the public for their help and confirmed that no one was hurt in the incident, including the young child that can be seen being rescued from the rear of the QX at the close of the video.
