You Can Now Eat At Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Restaurant On His Farm

Jeremy Clarkson has just opened the doors to the Diddly Squat Restaurant on his Chipping Norton farm in the UK.

The TV presenter, famous for his disdain of physical labor (among other things…), has owned his British farm for many years but only took over the daily operations of it a couple of years ago, spawning Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime. The first season was hugely popular and shortly after it aired, a second season was given the green light.

Metro reports that Clarkson made a planning application for the restaurant in January but had it rejected by the West Oxfordshire District Council who stated it was “out of keeping” with the local area. Evidently, a new application was made and approved.

Clarkson took to Twitter to confirm that the Diddly Squat Restaurant is now open for business, noting that bookings can be made online.

While limited details about the restaurant are known at this stage, the website states that “it’s small, mostly outdoors and very rustic”, adding that “ordering a beer or going to the lavatory isn’t as easy as in your local pub and we don’t cater to the faddy.”

“We’ve done our best to keep you warm and dry, but this is England,” the description continues. “On the upside, the view is enormous and almost everything you eat was grown or reared on our farm, so it’s fresh with minimal food miles.”

It is understood that filming for the second season of Clarkson’s Farm will wrap up this month, with Clarkson revealing on social media that it should be released on Amazon Prime in early 2023. Presumably, the season will document Clarkson’s efforts to open the Diddly Squat Restaurant.
